why does my automatic transmission drop a gear and lock up
this does'nt happen all the time, but when l try to stay between 40mph and
50mph the transmission tries to drop a gear and quite often it does drop
and locks in a lower gear, also when going downhill and let off the
acellerator it will drop into a lower gear and lock up, the only way to
get it out is to pull over turn off engine and wait a minute or two then
restart the engine.I've changed several parts inside transmission and it
keeps happening.can anyone tell me why?
certaintly very dangerous, your auto transmission sounds
stuffed and maybe your diff, or yet it could be just a lack of
transmission fluid, im not sure but let me say this u should not be
driving it, take it to mechanics before you hurt yourself
